Rising Sun, MD – Cairn University men's golf competed in Eastern University's spring Invitational at the Chesapeake Bay Golf Club. The Highlanders finished in fifth place overall with a team score of 395; ahead of Centenary College's 405.
Eastern University and Stevens Institute of Technology tied for the lead after their rounds of 334. Frank Szucs from Stevens shot the low round of the day with a +7, 78. Messiah College and Ursinus College also competed in the invitational and finished in third and fourth places.
Adam Green led the Highlanders' efforts with a 94, followed by
Mark Huseland's 97.
Craig Kikendall and
David Dager finished close together with scores of 101 and 103, respectively.
Connor Williams finished with a 113 in the fifth spot.
The Highlanders will next compete in Rosemont College's Raven Invitational on Apr. 9 and 10 in Honey Brook, Pa., at the Honey Brook Golf Club.
