ELVERSON, Pa. – The Cairn University men's golf team continued its traditional spring season, competing in the Ursinus Spring Invitational at the Stonewall North Course on Tuesday.
 
Cairn senior Ryan Borrmann (Warminster, PA / William Tennant) paced the Highlanders again in his impressive campaign, posting a seven-over par round of 77 on the par-70, 6,312-yard track to place solo-seventh in the 59-player field. Borrmann was followed by sophomore Danny Smullen (Palmyra, PA / Mouth Calvary Christian School) with a round of 94 (+24) to finish in solo 53^rd place, while graduate student Eric Jacobs (Dillsburg, PA / Norther York) rounded out the day for the Highlanders coming into the clubhouse with a score of 112 (+42) to finish in the 57^th spot.
 
Swarthmore's B-Team claimed the team title with a total score of 308 (+28), while Ursinus junior Jordan Pick earned individual medalist honors with a score of 71 (+1).
 
Cairn will be back on the course on Monday, April 11 when it hosts its annual home match for the Spring in a quad match at Five Ponds Golf Club at 12 p.m.
