Athletic Communications
The Cairn Athletic Communications Office is in search of organized and reliable student assistants to fill a number of roles specific to statistics management, media, and game day roles throughout the school year. Below is a list of positions the Cairn Athletic Communications Office looks to fill during both the Fall and Spring semesters. Hours are determined by the varsity sports schedule and needs of each position. Some hours are also available over academic breaks (Fall, Winter, Spring, etc.).
Photography: Student photographers must have prior experience in sports photography. While owning a personal camera capable of capturing professional action shots is not necessarily required, it is highly recommended in order to have the ability to be scheduled to work more often. Student assistants will be working together with the Cairn Athletic Communications Office to capture action photos of Cairn athletes, coaches, staff, etc. at all home contests for the 14 varsity teams. Statistics Assistant: Cairn Athletics is seeking dedicated student assistants interested in providing assistance with statistics keeping and management using tools such as NCAA Live Stats, PrestoStats, an official scorebooks, etc. Training will be provided but a background in sport(s) and the statistical side of each sport is a plus. Specific positions include: NCAA Live Stats - Caller, Inputter, Spotter and official scorer. must have availability during evenings and some weekends. Video: Cairn Athletics is seeking student assistants with interest and experience in video editing/production to assist in the creation recorded videos for social media, including but not limited to; highlight videos after games, player and coach interview videos, and other miscellaneous videos that help promote the varsity sports teams at Cairn University. must have availability during evenings and some weekends. Live Stream Operator: Cairn Athletics is seeking student assistants with interest operating Cairn Athletic Communications' Live Stream to assist in the production of instant streaming for all home contests. No experience is required but familiarity with gameplay is recommended - training provided. Student assistants must have availability during evenings & weekends. Public Address Announcer: Cairn Athletics is seeking student assistants to serve as a Public Address Announcer for soccer, volleyball, baseball, softball, basketball, and lacrosse. Students interested must posses strong reading/writing skills, a command of the English language, and confidence to perform the task at hand. Student assistants must have availability during evenings and some weekends. Athletic Communications Intern: Cairn Athletic Communications is seeking enrolled students to intern for the requirements of the BUS 499, BUS 799, COM 491, ORL 799 internships or BUS 299, COM 391 practicum. General duties include gameday assistance, internal/external communications, sport contact, etc. This position can be tailored to the student's specific skills & interests with fields such as: graphic design, statistics, media, and more. Students interested must posses strong reading/writing skills, the ability to work independently as a professional representative of the Cairn Athletic Communications office and Cairn Athletics and be eligible to enroll in the above internship courses at Cairn University.  Interns must have availability during some evenings and weekends. Gameday Staff
Set up and breakdown for athletics events. In-game tasks ranging from ball roller, scoreboard, game/shot clock, etc. Working as event staff for athletics.
General Staff Assistant: Cairn Athletics is seeking student assistants to fill Gameday Operations General Staff roles. This role entails duties as needed to assist with home events throughout the fall, winter, and/or spring seasons. Student assistants must have availability during evenings and some weekends. This role entails duties such as ball runners, scoreboard, substitution tracker and other duties as needed. No previous experience required. Student assistants must have availability during evenings and some weekends. Volleyball Gameday Assistant: Cairn Athletics is seeking student assistants to assist with gameday operations for Women's Volleyball (fall) and/or Men's Volleyball (winter/spring). This role entails duties such as ball rollers, scoreboard, libero tracker, VolleyWrite and other duties as needed. Some tasks may entail previous volleyball experience/knowledge of the game and training. Student assistants must have availability during evenings and some weekends. Student assistants must have availability during evenings and some weekends. Student assistants must have availability during evenings and some weekends. Intramural Program
The storied Cairn Intramural Program assist with extracurricular activities through a partnership between Cairn Athletics and Cairn Student Life to provide leagues for soccer, basketball, volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee, and flag football.
Director, Cairn University Intramurals: Cairn Intramurals is seeking a student assistant to serve as the Director of the Intramural Program. The storied Cairn Intramural Program assist with extracurricular activities through a partnership between Cairn Athletics and Cairn Student Life to provide leagues for soccer, basketball, volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee, and flag football. Interested parties must possess a strong desire to serve the Cairn community, be organized, and have the ability to work independently. The Director of the Intramural Program is tasked with marketing leagues and programming, scheduling contests, as well as recruiting, training, and scheduling officials. This position must have availability during evenings outside of work that can be done remotely. Fitness Center Assistants
The fitness center staff mans the fitness center desk during select hours. Additional duties include: cleaning and organizing equipment, reporting damaged or broken equipment, re-racking weights as necessary.Â

Athletics Laundry
Serve the Cairn Student-Athletes by assisting in the Athletics Laundry Room. Resonsible for laundry of in-season teams after practice and games as well as uniform management on game day. Late nights and/or weekends required.
