Elverson, PA – Cairn University men's golf competed in Ursinus College's Spring Invitational this past Tuesday, which took place at the Stonewall Old Course; a par 70. The Highlanders finished in 6
th out of six teams with a team score of 395.
Adam Green continued to lead the team with his score of 85 (+15); good for a tie for 7
th place among the 29 golfers that competed. Cabrini's Joe Myers led all scorers for the round with with a three-over par 73. The Cavaliers had the top three golfers for the day and won the event easily with a 315 total score.
Green could have matched is lowest scores this year if it were not for a four-over on the longest hole of the course; a 536-yard par five. However, the course played difficult for all of the golfers, as just two athletes shot under an 80 in the match.
Craig Kikendall followed up Green with a round of 95; his lowest round of the year.
David Dager shot a 107, while
Mark Huseland finished with a 108 and
Connor Williams a 123.
The Highlanders will finish out the regular season next week when they travel to Messiah College for their annual Falcon Classic at the Blue Ridge Country Club in Harrisburg.
