Carlisle, PA – The Highlanders opened their 2015-16 golf schedule at the Messiah College Falcon Classic on Monday afternoon with an 11th place performance. The round was played at the Carlisle Country Club on a 6,410-yard, par 71 course.
Cairn finished in 11th out of 12 teams with a total score of 379 (+95). Leading the way for the Highlanders was
Adam Green who shot an 86, followed by
Mike Boucher with an 88. Green put in a card of five pars and no birdies with a 42 on the front nine and 44 on the back. Boucher shot a very respectable 38 on the front nine with three birdies but followed that with a 50 on the back nine.
Moravian College finished out in front for the day with a team score of 295 (+11). Finishing on top of the individual leaderboard was Messiah's Jordan Kirsch with a two-under score of 69.
Green and Boucher were joined by
Mark Huseland with a 98,
Ben Chapman with a 107, and
David Dager with a 118 for the day.
Cairn will next compete at the Dutchmen Classic on Monday, Oct. 5, hosted by Lebanon Valley College.
