Harrisburg, PA - The Highlanders played today at the Messiah College Spring Classic where they finished in 15th place with a final score of 365 but improved from their last outings. Cairn shot 26 strokes lower today than they did at the CSAC preview round on Tuesday.
Leading the way in the match was Franklin & Marshall College who shot a level 300. The Diplomats' Harry Richards also took the individual title with an even-par 72. The hosts, Messiah, finished in a tie for second place with Millersville University at 308.
The highest finisher for Cairn was
Adam Green with a season-best 87; good for a tie for 55th place. Green put in a card with six pars total. Following Green was
Ian Zang (89),
Josiah Buss (91), and
Mark Huseland (98).
Craig Kikendall came in with a 103 to round out the Highlanders.
The Highlanders also played in the Messiah College Fall Invitational where they shot eight strokes higher (373) than in today's match.
Cairn will finish out the 2014-15 regular season on Monday, Apr. 20, when they play on their home course (Makefield Highlands Golf Club) for the Highlander Spring Invitational.
