Results
Huntingdon Valley, PA – The Cairn men's golf team competed at the Philmont Country Club to preview the course for this year's CSAC Championship and finished in 5th place. There were a total of six teams competing in the event; Marywood took top honors with their team score of 309.
The Highlanders finished with a 391, 54 strokes behind the fourth place team of Immaculata with a 337. Cairn finished ahead of Rosemont though, who carded a total of 511.
Cairn was led by
Josiah Buss with an 18-hole score of 86; good enough for 15th place overall. The individual leader from the day was Jesse Bingaman from Marywood University with a three-over 73.
Buss was followed by
Ian Zang who put in a score of 94, which put him in 22nd place on the leaderboard.
Mark Huseland made his Cairn debut with his round of 99 but he entered as an individual so his score didn't count for the team.
The Highlanders were rounded out by
Craig Kikendall (105),
Adam Green (106), and
Matthew Rhodes (114). Cairn will continue with their stretch of rounds this week when they travel to Messiah College (Blue Ridge Country Club) on Thursday for a noon tee time.
