ResultsElkton, MD - Cairn University men's golf began their 2015 slate at the Revolutionary Classic hosted by Ursinus College at the Patriots Glen National golf course. The Highlanders finished 11th out of the 11 teams with a 387 total score. The hosts Ursinus College finished in 10th with a 372 and the overall winners were Penn State Harrisburg with a 318.
The tournament was scheduled to take place with two rounds over Saturday and Sunday but the snowy weather on Friday prevented play from occuring on Saturday. The tournament was therefore shortened to one round on Sunday.
Leading the way for Cairn was
Josiah Buss with an 85 and he was followed by
Ian Zang with a 94.
Adam Green and
Matthew Rhodes followed with a 100 and 108, respectively. Jesse Bingman from Marywood won the individual title in the match with a round of 73.
The Highlanders will begin to ramp up their amount of play now that winter is breaking into spring and play this Wednesday, Mar. 25, at the Dickinson Spring Invitational. Cairn will also play on Saturday, Mar. 28, at the Wilson College Invitational.
