Pennsauken, NJ- On a cold, bleary day in New Jersey the Highlanders were unable to brave the elements and shoot their best scores at the Scarlet Raptor Invitational, finishing last in the field.
Box Score (Coming Soon)In the second match of their young season Cairn came up short in their efforts last Friday. Known more as a fair weather team Coach Dave Hill's Highlanders succumbed to the elements shooting a season-high 392. Four of the Highlanders tallied the same exact score, a +26 over 98 and with the last bringing up the far rear with a 107.
Dave Shaffer and
Andrew Gordon, two standouts on the soccer pitch, deserve recognition for their 98's as that score was a season low for both members of the team.
The Highlanders will look to rebound and achieve another win on their home turf in their dual match this Thursday. With conference championships a mere nineteen days away Cairn will seek to tune up their games to make a run at the conference title.
