Yardley, PA - On a beautiful Wednesday afternoon, Cairn University's men's golf team put up some impressive numbers in the 2013 version of the Highlander Fall Invitational.

First-year golfer,
Noah Prickett, took home top honors with his 82 (+10), edging out teammate
Chad Bass's 84 (+12) who placed second. Bass's 84 was a career-best for the freshman.
As a team, the Highlanders had four golfers finish in the top five.
Freddie Santucci's 89 (+17) was a season-best and good enough to finish in fourth.
Josiah Buss registered a 90 (+18), to seal a fifth place finish, tying with Widener University's Nick Prodzenko.
Ian Zang rounded out the team scoring for Cairn with a 98 (+26). Freshman
Adam Green did not compete for the team prize but tallied a 96 (+24), marking his best score as a Highlander.
In the standings for the team results, the Highlanders held a comfortable 42 stroke lead over second place Valley Forge Christian, winning by a 345 to 387 score. Widener University finished third in the event with a 401.
The 345 for Cairn was the best score for the team so far this season. In all four competitions the Highlanders have competed in, their team score has dropped each time from a 386, to 375, to 355, and finally a 345 this time around.
The men return to the links next Wednesday when they host Penn St.-Abington at the Makefield Highlands Golf Club once again. The teams will tee off at 12pm.
