AVONDALE, PA - Philadelphia Biblical University's Men's Golf team took 7th place at the Immaculata Fall Invitational held at Inniscrone Golf Club.
La Salle University took 1st place with a team effort of 595. They were followed by SUNY-Delhi in 2nd place with 607 and Swathmore finishing in 3rd (608). The Crimson Eagles put up a 654 over the 2 day event. On the second day, PBU shot a 325, their lowest round tally of the season.
Tim Slothower (Schroon Lake, NY) had the best overall score for the Crimson Eagles, shooting a 78 on the first day and a 77 on the second day to finish in 12th overall in the competition with 155. Garry North (Lititz, PA) finished 19th overall, but shot the best round for PBU. He shot a 76 on day two.
Four of five golfers for the Crimson Eagles improved their score from the first day.
PBU came in front of fellow Colonial States Athletic Conference competitors Cabrini, Marywood, Centenary, and Neumann.
The golf team will now have off the rest of the winter, until next April when they will return to this same course to compete in Immaculata's Spring Invitational.
