AVONDALE, PA - Hampered by a key injury and competing with just four golfers Thursday afternoon, the Crimson Eagles struggled during the Immaculata Invitational, shooting their highest collective score in over two years.
PBU secured eighth place overall out of the 11 team field with the effort but lagged behind four CSAC foes as Cabrini, Neumann, Immaculata, and Keystone all topped the Crimson Eagles on the day.
Sam Wilcox carded a team low 85 and Tim Slothower added an 89. Corey Snyder posted a 92 and Dave Hill avoided triple digits, finishing with a 99 on the par 72, 6,319 yard course.
Cabrini College won the even behind a 306 effort that saw all top four of their golfers remain sub-80 for the afternoon. Chris Lawler and Jeff Lazarus tied for the gold crown as both golfers tallied a round-low score of 73.
The Crimson Eagles will compete in their final regular season this Monday before gearing up for the CSAC Championship. PBU will play in the Widener College Invitational at Brandywine Country Club beginning at noon.
