Box Score
HARRISBURG, PA - Playing in their fifth and final match of the fall season, the men's golf team posted their best round of the year, logging a 322 at the Blue Ridge Country Club.
Not only did the group collect the second lowest team score in program history, but senior Corey Snyder put up a new personal best on the Par 72, 6,880 yard course. Snyder finished three strokes off of par with a 75, tying the native of Fayetteville, PA for second place overall on the day. The number also ties Snyder for the second best round in PBU history, trailing only Jared Wilcox's record mark of 74 by a solo swing.
Junior Garry North continued his torrid play during the current season, finishing the round a single shot off his personal record with a 76 to tie for fifth place overall. Sam Wilcox (84) and Tim Slothower (87) rounded out PBU's top four for the day.
Host Messiah College won the event by posting a 309 for the day with their top golfer - Matt Burkhart - recording a two-under par 70, a number good enough to finish five strokes ahead of the rest of the field. The Crimson Eagles tied for sixth overall with Cabrini College out of the 11 team field.
With their fall season officially complete, the golf team will take a four month break before returning to the links during the spring.
