LANGHORNE, PA - Basketball comes down to a simple science: If you put the ball in the bucket more often than the opposition, you'll win.
Unfortunately for the Crimson Eagles, finding the bottom of the nylon has proven to be a difficult task as of late.
For the fourth time this season, the women's basketball team was held under 30 percent shooting for the game as the host squad connected on just 23.1 percent of their attempts throughout Saturday's tilt with Rosemont College. It signals the third time in four games the group has been stifled into less than 40 percent shooting.
The Ravens - who held a 31-14 halftime advantage - rolled to a 57-34 triumph over the Crimson Eagles as the visitors also pestered PBU into their second straight affair with 30-plus giveaways. Rosemont took advantage of PBU's mistakes, turning the number into a 22-4 edge in points off of miscues.
To compound matters for the host squad, the Ravens battered the Crimson Eagles on the offensive glass as the group snagged 23 offensive boards for the game, a number that marks the most PBU's allowed in nearly a year.
PBU would counter with 15 offensive rebounds and 10 swipes defensively of their own, but the effort wouldn't be enough to overcome a sub-par shooting night as the Crimson Eagles made just 12 total field goals for the game.
The Crimson Eagles were led by Dani Norton's double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds. Lindsey Fornwalt, Careth Herron, Faith Beckley, and Katie Sauder each chipped in with four apiece.
PBU will get back into the swing of things this Thursday during a non-conference affair with Trinity College. Game time is slated for 7:00 pm on the road.
