Golf team finishes third in CSAC Championship

WEST CHESTER, PA - Although competing amongst an entirely new crop of teams, the men's golf team constructed a third place finish in the conference championship for the second consecutive year.

The Crimson Eagles secured the bronze trophy Sunday afternoon after tallying a 657 throughout the two-day event. Cabrini College, the defending PAC champion, blistered the rest of the field by assembling a 628 to finish 19 strokes better than the second place finisher, Keystone College, who recorded a 647. Neumann College (666), Immaculata University (680), Centenary College (747), and Gwynedd-Mercy College (792) rounded out the seven-team field.

Corey Snyder picked up Second Team All Conference honors after tallying a 160 (81, 79) to tie for sixth overall in the competition. Nate King's 164 (84, 80) placed him 11th overall in the 34 man field while Jared Wilcox finished right on his heels in the 12th spot with a 165 (79, 86). Sam Wilcox added a 168 (85, 83) and Garry North carded a 168 (89, 86) to finish in the fifth spot for PBU.

The golf team concludes the 2009 season with an overall mark of 46-42 against competition.
