WILMINGTON, DE - In their final tune-up before the conference championship scheduled for the upcoming weekend, the Crimson Eagles pumped out a 328 Wednesday afternoon, battling rain and chilly winds in what ended up being a second place finish.
Neumann College's blue squad managed a two stroke advantage over the Crimson Eagles to take the gold medal home, firing a 326 at the par 70 Brandywine Country Club to overcome the field of four. Neumann's gold team rounded the course in 333 strokes, while Arcadia University failed to qualify for team scoring.
Nate King was the only Crimson Eagle to surpass the 80 mark as the senior tallied a 79 to tie him for third overall out of the 17 man field. Corey Snyder and Jared Wilcox each chipped in with 82's, and Sam Wilcox and Garry North added 85 and 87, respectively.
The Crimson Eagles will play for the last time in 2009 this weekend, taking part in the CSAC Championship at the Broad Run Golfer's Club in West Chester. The two-day event will kick-off Saturday morning.
