York, PA - The men's golf team opened up spring play by notching a 340 to place sixth overall in the York College Spring Invitational Tuesday afternoon.
Three Crimson Eagles carded an 84 on the afternoon as the trio of Garry North and brothers Sam and Jared Wilcox tied for 25th overall out of the 60-man field. North and Sam Wilcox managed career rounds despite battling somewhat windy conditions on the 6,687 yard course. Nate King (88) and Corey Snyder (89) rounded out the scoring for PBU.
Messiah College took home the first-place prize out of the 10-team face-off, notching a 318 to finish three strokes better than Marymount University on the afternoon. Corey Wenger, a Messiah senior, took home individual medal by charting a 73.
The Crimson Eagles will return to action Wednesday heading to West Chester to compete at the Broad Run Golf Club at 11:00 am.
