LANGHORNE, PA - It was the same old routine for the women's basketball team Monday evening.
Having won seven straight East Region match-ups over the course of the past three years, the Crimson Eagles tacked on an eight consecutive triumph Monday following a 85-52 victory over visiting Davis College.
PBU utilized a 50.7 shooting clip for the game - including a 57.1 mark in the opening stanza - to mark their best shooting percentage through four games this season.
The squad also also controlled the glass, pounding out a 44-33 edge in boards for the game while pestering the Falcons into 30.9 percent shooting, allowing just 17 made buckets from the floor for the game.
The Crimson Eagles would jump out to a 48-26 edge after the first stanza and would end the game with a 33 point victory despite 25 points from Davis forward Rebekah Havens.
Dani Norton would continue her scoring barrage as the senior forward would pump out her fourth straight 20-point outing to open the year, finishing the game with 27 points on nine of 14 shooting from the floor while collecting 10 boards in 32 minutes of play. Sarah Oessenich would add 14 points and 12 assists and rookie Hanah McCardle would chip in with career highs in points (10) and rebounds (5) in the triumph.
Following a week long break, the Crimson Eagles will begin conference play next Monday when the group travels to Radnor to battle with Cabrini College in PBU's first CSAC game of the year. Tip-off time is 6:00 pm.
