Following her days as a student, basketball and field hockey player at Lancaster Bible College, and teaching fourth grade and coaching high school basketball at a Christian school for six years, Claudette Stine took up a position at Philadelphia Biblical University back in 1984.

As they say, the rest is history.

For the past 26 years, Claudette has faithfully served in various roles at PBU, spending portions of her time with the institution in financial aid, the Registrar's office, working with the graduate programs, and most recently, in the Provost's office as Director of Academic Operations. In the words of her friend, colleague, and Hall of Honor induction speaker Marti MacCullough, “Claudette’s worn many hats while here at PBU.”

But in addition to all of her contributions to the University itself, Claudette's fingerprints have been left on the department of athletics throughout the years as well. An assistant coach with the women’s basketball team for countless years, Claudette served as the sidekick to legendary PBU coach Marti MacCullough, a Hall of Honor member who to this day remains the all-time winningest head coach in PBU women’s basketball history.

“I’m not sure how many years she served as an assistant coach for our program,” MacCullough confessed at Claudette's induction ceremony. “But I do know that she never refused any task, doing everything from laundry to returning rental vans for the team at midnight. I also know that she was the one that kept me calm and cool on the sidelines.”

Renowned for her servant’s heart and genuine love for the game of basketball, Claudette helped MacCullough to 188 wins at the helm of the program during a 13 year span, with the combo winning 71.2 percent of their games together in the process. Claudette also spent nine years as an assistant with the PBU field hockey program, assisting another coaching legend – Bertie Landis – during some of the field hockey program’s best seasons.

In addition to her coaching responsibilities in years past, Claudette was involved within the NCCAA as the women’s basketball national statistician for a number of years and is well-respected from a national standpoint. She’s willingly served on the athletic staff at PBU for over a decade as the Faculty Athletics Representative, acting as a liaison between the institution and the athletic department while also representing the University in conference and NCAA affairs

“Claudette has a heart for sports and women and a biblical view of athletics,” MacCullough praised. “I cannot think of a better person to be inducted into the Hall of Honor.”
