POTTSTOWN, Pa. – The Cairn University men's golf team opened up its 2021-22 season at the Ursinus Fall Invitational at Raven's Claw Golf Club on Tuesday.
The Highlanders were led by senior
Ryan Borrmann (Warminster, PA / William Tennant), who carded a two-over par, 73 to finish tied for fifth place in the 57-player field. Borrmann, the defending champion at the event, scattered three birdies, three bogies and one double bogey on the par-71, 6,370 yard track en route to the fifth place finish. Also competing for Cairn were senior
Brad Garges (Perkasie, PA / Pennridge) and sophomore
Jake Edwards (Delta, PA / Harford Christian). Garges placed 54
th with a round of 109 (+38), while Edwards carded a 123 (+52) to finish in 56
th place.
Moravian University won the event with a team score of 295 (+11) and claimed the top-two spots in the individual standings.
Cairn will be back on the course on Thursday, September 23 when they compete in a Tri-Match with Jefferson University and Chestnut Hill University at the Lodge at Union League Liberty Hill.
