Aston, PA – The Colonial States Athletic Conference released their 2015 All-Conference baseball awards, which featured two Highlanders this season:
Caleb Lang and
Joey Nieves-Markee. The awards come after the Highlanders put together an overall season record of 8-30 and conference record of 1-17.
Caleb Lang earned 1
st-Team All-Conference with a season batting average of .444, 60 hits, 18 doubles, six triples, nine homeruns, 55 RBI, and a slugging percentage of .867. Lang played center field and started in all 38 games for the Highlanders; the junior also had a .984 fielding percentage.
Joey Nieves-Markee made the Honorable Mention All-Conference Team with a season batting average of .427, 53 hits, six doubles, an on-base percentage of .527, and 16 stolen bases. Joey played either left field or right field primarily for the Highlanders. Both Nieves-Markee and Lang put it stints as pitchers this season; Joey had 22.0 innings pitched and Lang had 14.2.
Winning Player of the Year this season was Centenary's Ryan Caparoni, Pitcher of the Year was Felix Baez from Keystone, Rookie of the Year is Jason Mulvey from Gwynedd Mercy, while Jerry Davis from Marywood won Coach of the Year.
