The Highlanders would take the lead in the top of the first as a Caleb Lang double and Eric Hodges single led to two quick runs for Cairn.  Freshman reliever Josh Freed after picking up a save earlier this week was forced into action as a starter against one of the CSAC's toughest opponents.  Freed proved unable to tame the hot bats of Neumann as the Knights scored in every inning except the fourth.  Conversely, the Highlanders did the majority of their offensive damage in the fourth, totaling four runs capped off by another Lang double.  Cairn trailed by a manageable five runs until the bottom of the sixth when the Knights tallied ten runs, dropping the Highlanders 21-6 in the game.  Caleb Moore and Caleb Lang each went 2-for-3 for the Highlanders.

The Highlanders bats went cold in the second game of the afternoon as Cairn could only muster five hits and one run for the game.  Caleb Lang crushed his second homerun of the year in the top of the sixth, but that would be the only run Cairn would plate in the contest as they fell 13-1.  Jacob Allen went 1-3 and Eric Hodges continued to raise his average with a 2-2 performance.

The Highlanders host Centenary College Sunday afternoon in a makeup from earlier in the year.  Cairn lost 17-21 in their first contest against Centenary this season so the Highlanders will be hoping to avenge their previous loss.
