Box Score Langhorne, PA- The Highlanders hosted conference rival Neumann University on Friday afternoon, dropping the game, 15-6.

The game started off with Neumann scoring  four runs within the first two innings. Cairn brought in two runs in the bottom of the second when Josh Freed grounded out to second base bringing in Kenny Searle and a Jon Sanville single brought in Joey Nieves-Markee with the score now 4-2.

In the top of the third and fourth innings, due to a number of errors from Cairn, Neumann scored six more runs creating a significant lead between them and Cairn.

The Highlanders weren't done yet as they responded to the Knights with one run in the third inning and three in the bottom of the fifth. With two outs, Eric Hodges doubled bringing in both Kenny Searle and Caleb Lang with Hodges scoring later.  In the top of the sixth, the Knights scored three more runs plus Neumann's Kaleb Leone homered giving the Knights a 14-6 lead. The Highlanders were able to hold the Knights off from scoring over the next two innings, but Neumann finished it with a single run in the top of the ninth taking the victory, 15-6.

Hodges earned 2 RBI's and went 2-for-4, scoring once. Caleb Lang went 2-for-5, scoring once and Kenny Searle scored two runs.

The Highlanders will complete the season series against Neumann University today in doubleheader action.
