Box Score Langhorne, PA- The Highlanders were defeated by the Bears of St. Joseph's College Brooklyn yesterday afternoon.
Box ScoreThe Highlanders got off to a great start as they took a 5-0 lead right out of the gate.
Caleb Lang blasted a triple to get the offense going, bringing in
Jacob Allen.
Lang scored off of an error while
Kenny Searle advanced to third.
Jon Sanville singled up the middle bringing in
Searle and finally with bases loaded,
Josh Freed singled bringing in both
Joey Nieves-Markee and
Sanville. The Bears responded with six runs over the next two innings, tying things up 6-6. Unfortunately, the Highlanders were unable to regain their lead as the Bears continued to score over the next five innings leading 15-11 by the bottom of the seventh. With each team scoring once more in the ninth inning, the Bears took the victory 16-12.
Caleb Lang went 2-for-4 scoring 3 runs and earning himself 3 RBI's.
The Highlanders host out of conference rival Valley Forge Christian College tomorrow afternoon for a doubleheader.
