Highlanders Split Doubleheader on Senior Day

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Langhorne, PA- The Highlanders sought their first conference victory of the season in this afternoon's doubleheader against Marywood University.  Despite a rough first game the Highlanders were able to win the second contest by a score of 10-5.

showed his experience not giving in and limiting Marywood over the rest of the contest.  Riding the momentum of their senior leaders and their big first inning, the Highlanders continued to pound the Pacers pitching scoring another two runs in the fourth, and three runs in the sixth.  When freshman Josh Freed shut the door over the last two innings, it was official, the Highlanders had achieved their first conference victory of the 2014 season.  

The Highlanders top performers for this big win included:

Jacob Allen (3-5, 2 runs)
Trent Fiori (2-4, 4 RBI, 2 runs)
Kenny Searle (2-4, 2 RBI)

The Highlanders will host St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn Monday afternoon seeking to build off of this conference victory towards a winning streak.
