The hits flowed freely in game one of this doubleheader as the teams totaled twenty eights combined.  Despite an impressive ten hits, Cairn was not able to staunch the high powered attack of Lancaster Bible College as the Chargers piled on six runs in the first inning and another four in the second.  Down ten to zero, the Highlanders fought back due to impressive performances from Caleb Lang (2-4), Kenneth Searle (3-4), and Joey Nieves-Markee (3-4),  but the first game ended much the way it began, with an LBC victory of 13-6.  In addition to the bright spots at the plate, Caleb Seibert pitched an impressive game as the freshman threw five innings giving up no earned runs.

With the afternoon's second game tinged with the gray hue of snowfall, Cairn attempted to heat up their bats and overtake LBC to break their current losing streak.  Pitcher Tyson Rohrs threw a gem of a game for the Highlanders but a plethora of errors led to the Highlanders eventual demise.  Cairn threw the first punch as shortstop Jacob Allen was able to take advantage of an LBC error, trotting home to score the games first run.  The Chargers were able to plate three runs in the games next frame, finally breaking Rohrs to take the lead.  The Highlanders gave their best effort, but eight errors was too much to overcome and they ended the game trailing by a score of 8-3.

Cairn will host Keuka College at 3:00 PM Wednesday afternoon, seeking a win and to break the current losing streak they are on.
