Box Score
The BBC Defenders forced 35 turnovers from the visiting Highlanders, leading to 26 points for the host. Despite the high number of turnovers, the Highlanders hung with the Defenders for the opening ten minutes. Trailing only 16-11 at the 9:26 mark, 6 turnovers by Cairn over the next 7 minutes allowed BBC to breakout to a 26-11, going on a 10-0 run in that timespan.
BBC took a 29-15 lead into halftime.
In the past, the Highlanders have shown the ability to edge back into games in the second half, but tonight was not one of those nights. The Defenders made sure victory was theirs by starting the second stanza on a 15-2 run in the opening 9 minutes and 41 seconds, now an insurmountable 27 point advantage. Cairn cut that lead to 21 points by the final buzzer but came out on the losing end of a 52-31 scoreline.
