BBC Grounds Crimson Eagles

Clarks Summit, PA - Philadelphia Biblical University's Women's Basketball team were hoping to put their 4-game skid to an end but ran into a streaking Baptist Bible that had won 3 straight and 7 of their last 8 games.

The Defenders came out ready to protect their home-court as they jumped out to a 16-2 lead after 7 minutes. For the next 7 minutes, the Crimson Eagles were able to stop the onslaught and maintained parity with BBC holding around a 10 point advantage. However, it wouldn't last the Defenders closed out the first half on a 21-9 run to go into the halftime with a 26 point lead, 49-23.

While Baptist didn't quite come out in the second half as they had the first half, they still asserted themselves over the Crimson Eagles early on building a 35 point lead after only 5 minutes. Once again, just as in the first half, the Crimson Eagles seemed to hold things level after the initial stages of the half. For 5 minutes, there was only one shot and one free-throw made.

The final 10 minutes saw the two teams trade baskets, as a comeback was out of reach for PBU and BBC saw the game out. The score finished 81-43.

Danielle Bradley-Wilson (Philadelphia, PA / Delaware Valley Charter) led the Crimson Eagles with a double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds. BBC's Chameera Boggs led all scorers with 19 points.

PBU falls to 4-7 overall and 1-4 in the CSAC.

Their next game is Monday, January 9th when the Crimson Eagles host Keystone College at 6pm.
