LANGHORNE, PA - Philadelphia Biblical University's Women's Basketball team returned to action this Thursday to take on the Lions of Penn State-Brandywine.

Danielle-Bradley Wilson (Philadelphia, PA / Delaware Valley Charter) was unstoppable in the first half, shooting a perfect 7-for-7 from the field and 3-for-3 from the free-throw line for 17 points. She would finish with 27 points to lead all scorers, after adding 10 in the second half. Junior forward
Hannah McCardle (Lewisberry, PA / Red Land) wasn't feeling the effects of the long winter break too much, as she went 5-for-9, including 2-for-4 from 3-pt range. She finished with 12 points.
To start the game, Penn St.-Brandywine jumped out to an 0-7 lead and had built a 16 point lead halfway through the first half, leading 13-29. The Lions would lead by as much as 18 with 2 minutes left in the half and eventually went into the locker room with a 29-44 lead.
At the 15:31 mark into the second half, Penn St.-Brandywine had built a 20 point lead for their biggest lead of the night. The Crimson Eagles slowly chipped away at the lead for the remainder of the game, cutting to within 11 points, but it was too little too late. The Lions took the contest 69-58.
The loss moves PBU to 4-6. The Crimson Eagles return to Colonial States Athletic Conference play this Saturday, when they travel up the Northeast Extension to take on rivals Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA. The game starts at 1pm.
