LANGHORNE, PA - Marywood University got their bats rolling early Sunday afternoon and never let off the gas pedal as the Pacers cruised during wins of 22-0 and 14-2 over the Crimson Eagles.
The Pacers clubbed 34 hits over the course of 13 total innings en route to their most productive offensive output of the season.
In the opening contest, Marywood charted six or more runs in three different stanzas as PBU was hindered by seven errors on the defensive end.
John Sanville bopped two singles in the loss while Shawn Bramble, Chad Hollinger, and Nicholas Schnittjer each connected for a hit.
Despite drilling nine hits in the second affair, PBU was able to generate just two scores during the 14-2 loss but nevertheless avoided getting blanked in consecutive games for the first time in nearly a year.
Following a single score opening inning, the Pacers smacked four runs across the plate in the second stanza and broke open the game in the fourth, drilling six scores to go ahead 11-0. PBU finally rounded home during the top of the seventh, managing two scores thanks to five hits in the frame.
Ryan Eshleman, Jeremy McAlack, and Mike Sundholm each provided a multi-hit effort in the game two loss.
The Crimson Eagles will take a break for conference action on Tuesday and will turn their attention to NCCAA East Region foe Lancaster Bible on the road. Game time is 1:00 pm.
