Box Score - 1
Box Score - 2

IMMACULATA, PA -
Coming into Monday's doubleheader with the Mighty Macs having won three of their last five, the Crimson Eagles couldn't keep their hot streak intact, falling to Immaculata 8-2 and 11-7.

In the opening contest, the Mighty Macs scored a pair of runs during the first, second, fifth, and seventh innings en route to a six score triumph over their counterpart.

Despite PBU actually outhitting Immaculata for the game (six hits to five), the Blue and White were aided by eight walks and three hit batters during the seven inning affair.

The Crimson Eagles managed a solo tally during the bottom of the first and the third but left six runners on bag in the loss. Ryan Eshlemen and Caleb Reimer both finished 2-for-3 at the plate.

Game two was was all Immaculata from the start. The Mighty Macs rolled out to a 6-1 edge and were boosted by a three run bomb from senior slugger Joe Rawlings during the top of the opening stanza.

However, the bottom of the third saw the Crimson Eagles leave their imprint. The group sprinkled around six hits during the frame and were helped by a costly Immaculata blunder that helped bring the score to a 6-6 count.

With each squad logging one addition run in the fourth, Immaculata churned out three more scores during the top of the sixth to go up 10-7.

In need of another response, PBU couldn't generate the necessary offensive firepower down the stretch as the group failed to register a single hit over the final three innings.

Jeremy McAlack and Austin Arseneau both finished 2-for-4 in the losing effort.

The Crimson Eagles will return to the field against the Mighty Macs tomorrow afternoon, hosting Immaculata for a single game beginning at 4:00 pm.
