CLARKS SUMMIT, PA - The baseball team collected their third win of the season Tuesday afternoon, defeating Baptist Bible College during their opening contest with the Defenders, 11-9.

The Crimson Eagles tied their second highest hit total of the season, knocking around 12 dings for the game en route to their greatest scoring output of the year.

PBU jumped out to a 7-0 lead before Baptist responded with six scores over the ensuing two innings. The game would eventually lock up at 9-apiece, and a two score inning during the top of the seventh for PBU proved to be the difference.

Game two was similar in fashion, the only difference being Baptist managed to answer last.

Tied at six-apiece heading into the seventh, the visitors once again logged two runs during the top of the inning. However, Baptist responded by notching three runs during the bottom of the stanza, fueled by two hits and a game changing error on the part of PBU.

The Crimson Eagles move to 3-23 on the season while the Defenders currently sit at 3-20 overall.

PBU will return to the field on Friday during a double-header with Centenary College on the road.
