LANGHORNE, PA - Neumann University poured in seven runs during the first inning and didn't look back Friday afternoon as the Knights waltzed to a 20-1 victory over the Crimson Eagle baseball team.
Six players registered a multi-hit game for the visitors and Neumann posted 24 total hits throughout the nine inning affair en route to their 10th triumph of the season.
The Crimson Eagles, meanwhile, tallied four hits in 28 at bats, with senior Phil Haas providing half of those knocks, finishing the game with two.
The Knights went on to score in all but three innings, including multi-run stanzas during the top of the first, third, fifth, and eighth periods.
The home squad scored their lone run of the day during the bottom of the first inning following a Haas single that knocked in Shawn Bramble from second base, marking just their third run scored over a six game period.
The Crimson Eagles will have an opportunity to spar with Neumann for the second time in less than 24 hours during Saturday's doubleheader with the Knights at noon.
