LANGHORNE, PA - A shaky defensive performance mixed with struggles at the plate proved to be a potent combo for the Crimson Eagles Wednesday afternoon as the group dropped consecutive games to Lancaster Bible College.

The Chargers skirted out to an 8-0 lead after two innings during the opening contest as the group would knock around 15 hits for the game. Lancaster managed to add to their edge during the back end of play, scoring an additional eight runs over the final four stanzas to waltz to a 16-0 triumph.

The Crimson Eagles were unable to get anything going in the batter's box, registering just two hits through seven innings while getting fanned six times. PBU also surrendered a season high seven errors during the loss.

Looking to change the tide in their second tilt, game two ended up all-too similar. For the second straight contest, the Crimson Eagles charted more errors (six) than hits (four) while watching Lancaster pound 21 runs on 22 hits.

Despite tallying a slightly higher mark in total hits (four) for the game, the host group was hindered by six runners left on base en route to their second straight shutout loss, this one in 21-0 fashion.

The Crimson Eagles will look to bounce back this Friday during a home affair with Neumann College at 3:00 pm.
