LANGHORNE, PA - Run production finally came through during PBU's outing with Valley Forge Christian College on Thursday, as the Crimson Eagles churned out 10 runs during a 10-1 triumph over the Patriots.
The Crimson Eagles pounded out 11 hits in the win while stiffing up on the defensive side when necessary as Valley Forge left 11 runners on base, crossing home just a single time.
Shawn Bramble struck out seven while throwing a complete game for the Crimson Eagles, his first of the year.
Valley Forge would turn the tables in game two, exploding for 18 runs on 21 hits. The Patriots scored in five of seven innings during the win, including a seven run outburst in the top of the fifth.
Jayson Hernandez paced the Crimson Eagles with four hits and two ribbies on the afternoon. Shawn Bramble added three hits and three RBI's throughout the double-header while Mike Sundholm added five singles in eight plate appearances.
The Crimson Eagles move to 2-11 on the year following Thursday's split while Valley Forge sits at 5-4.
PBU will return to action on Monday when the group hosts Immaculata University at noon.
