LANGHORNE, PA - The Crimson Eagles struggled to slow down a hot-handed Cedar Crest squad that shot to the tune of 55.2 percent in the second stanza during a 70-48 Falcon triumph Monday evening.
The Falcons manufactured four double-digit scorers during their fourth CSAC victory of the year despite visiting the free throw line just once throughout the entire game.
Following a back-and-forth affair during the opening 20 minutes, the Crimson Eagles went cold during the back end of play. PBU connected on just seven field goals throughout the stanza and nailed only one of five charity tosses en route to an 18 point showing during the second period.
Cedar Crest used their size on the interior all night long, creating mismatches to run away with a 38-18 edge in points in the paint for the game.The Falcons also utilized a 26-11 margin in points off turnovers in what marks their fourth win in five tries.
The host squad was led by Dani Norton's game-high mark of 20 points as the senior guard drilled five threes in the loss. Sarah Poole added eight points and six assists in thirty minutes of work.
The Crimson Eagles drop to 3-13 on the year while Cedar Crest hits double digit wins, currently standing at 10-6.
PBU will look to get back in the winning column this Monday when the group takes on Baptist Bible College on the road at 6:00 pm.
