Crimson Eagles Dropped by Neumann in Road Loss

Box Score

ASTON, PA
- The women's basketball squad was handed a 75-47 loss Monday night at the hand of Neumann University as the Crimson Eagles struggled to find their offensive rhythm.

The visitors were limited to a 27 percent shooting clip for the game and were shackled into 24 cough-ups on the offensive end in what marks PBU's ninth straight loss of the year.

Neumann shot 44 percent from the field and utilized a plus seven advantage in the turnover category to pump out 75 points on the night, a number that signals the ninth time this season the Knights' high powered offense has topped the 70-point margin.

Eleven players found the scoring column for the host squad, led by Brettany Whetts 16 points on six of eight shooting from the floor. PBU received a game high 23 points from senior Dani Norton while Lisa Garner chipped in with a nine point, five board effort.

The Crimson Eagles fall to 2-11 on the season while Neumann moves to 10-4.

The basketball team will return to action on Thursday when the group hosts Lancaster Bible College in the Mason Activity Center at 7:00 pm.
