LA PLUME, PA - As the Crimson Eagles found out Friday afternoon, it's a tough chore going up against the fifth ranked team in the country.
Keystone College - tabbed fifth in the most recent national poll - belted out 18 hits while collecting five walks during a 22-0 blanking against the Crimson Eagles. PBU did managed to manufacture six dings for the afternoon, but 12 strikeouts proved costly as the visitors stranded eight runners for the game.
Keystone jumped out early, bullying eight runs across the plate during the first inning to get things rolling. PBU would limit the Giants to just one run over the next three stanzas, but Keystone would ultimately close out the back end of the game with four consecutive multi-score innings.
The win marks Keystone's 19th consecutive victory as the team hasn't lost in over a full month.
Shawn Bramble provided two hits for PBU and Tom Fenwick, Ryan Eshleman, Matt Betts, and Ricky Ragone all added a single knock.
The Crimson Eagles will get another crack at the Giants Saturday afternoon, taking on the Giants in a doubleheader in Langhorne beginning at noon.
