LANCASTER, PA - The baseball team struggled to get things rolling offensively in their opening game of the year Tuesday afternoon, falling to host Lancaster Bible College 10-0.
The Chargers sprinkled 10 hits throughout the course of seven innings to pull out their first win of the season. Despite stranding seven men on base, Lancaster utilized eight walks on the afternoon - compared to zero for PBU - to help pump out their greatest run production through four games so far this year.
The Crimson Eagles were limited to just three base hits and were struck with four blunders on the defensive end in their first contest of the year.
Freshman Shawn Bramble had a productive debut, going two for two at the plate. Classmate Mike Sundholm finished with the visitor's only other hit.
PBU will take nearly a week and a half off before returning to game action next Friday. PBU will host Gwynedd-Mercy College in their first CSAC contest of the season at 3:00 pm.
