Crimson Eagles Stopped in CSAC Opener

Box Score

RADNOR, PA - A woeful shooting effort led to a 57-37 defeat during Monday evening during the women's basketball team's conference opener against Cabrini College.

The visiting Crimson Eagles connected on just two field goals during the opening stanza and ended up shooting just 20 percent for the game en route to the group's most lopsided defeat of the current season.

Cabrini College delivered on the defensive end, limiting the visitors to just 16 total points in the opening period on the way to a 34-16 halftime advantage. The Cavaliers would prove dominate inside as the group would produce a 22-6 points in the paint edge for the game including a 14-0 mark throughout the first 20 minutes.

Overcoming a wretched performance at the charity stripe (5 for 17), the host squad would capitalize with 21 points off of PBU turnovers for the game as Cabrini would see 10 different players reach the scoring column by the time the final horn sounded.

The Crimson Eagles were led by a game high 16 points from Dani Norton as the senior guard also posted eight rebounds in 36 minutes of action. Careth Herron would add five points, five boards, and three dimes in the loss.

PBU falls to 2-3 on the season while the triumph marks Cabrini's first of the season.

The Crimson Eagles will return to the hardwood Thursday evening, taking on Keystone College up north at 6:00 pm.
