KEUKA PARK, NY - In a defensive minded afternoon, the Crimson Eagles split games with Keuka College.
PBU secured a 1-0 win over the hosts in game one behind a phenominal effort from junior hurler Nate King. King flirted with perfection Friday night, giving up just one hit in the seven inning outing along with a single walk. The Crimson Eagles scored the lone run of the game on a Jon Shepard walk in the top of the third with bases loaded.
In game two, down 3-0 to enter the ninth, PBU came up just short after posting two runs in the final stanza. Drew Ridley threw six stong innings for PBU allowing just two earned runs in his second complete game of the year.
Jon Shepherd, Brent Fornwalt, Tom Fenwick, Nate King and Joel Dager all ended with two hits over the two games to lead the way for PBU.
PBU's season record stands at 3-5 in the NEAC while Keuka remains at .500 at 4-4.
The Crimson Eagles will stay on the road when the squad takes on Keystone College at 1:00 pm on Saturday.
