LAKELAND, FL - The Crimson Eagles came out of the gate slowly and despite a second half run couldn't hold on for the win, losing to Clearwater Christian College today, 55-54.

PBU was down five at halftime and by as many as nine twice in the second half before putitng together a late-game run that gained them the lead at 52-50 with 2:18 to play in the game.   However, poor free throw shooting and cold streak from the field in the final minutes thwarted any hope of a win.

The Crimson Eagles were led in scoring by Dani Norton, who poured in a game-high 22 points and pulled down 8 rebounds.  Lindsey Fornwalt registered her first double-double of the season, scoring 13 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. 

Lauren Leabhart led the Cougars with 10 points and 10 rebounds while Alyssa Hallice scored 10 points to go along with her 9 rebounds.  

PBU returns to action tomorrow when they play Southeastern University.  Game time is 3:00 p.m.
