GREENWOOD, IN – College Sports Communicators released the 2024-25 Academic All-District® At-Large teams on Tuesday with a six Highlander student-athletes recognized.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field/court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes At-Large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
From Men's Lacrosse: senior defenseman
Josh Dahn (Smirthsburg, MD / Heritage Academy), junior attackman
Cole Heffler (Eldersburg, MD / Central Maryland Christian), and senior goalkeeper
Nico Cione (Yardley, PA / Pennsbury), and from Men's Volleyball: junior setter
Josh Adler (Levittown, PA / Neshaminy) as well as sophomore outside hitters
Jesse Stuart (Chattanooga, TN / Chiang Rai International Christian School) and
Sam Poirier (Nogyang, South Korea / International Christian School Uijeongbu) were recognized for their accomplishments on both the field/court and in the classroom.
Additionally, Heffler, Cione, Adler, and Poirier were selected as Academic All-America® finalists and will appear on the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 9, 2025.
To be nominated for the Academic All-America® program, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, be an undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) or graduate student-athlete with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. Additional information about community service and academics is considered for the selection of Academic All-America® Finalists once Academic All-District® is selected.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
