LANGHORNE, PA - The Cairn University Athletic Department is excited to announce that the Highlander Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Awards (HESPYs) will be taking place in its 9th edition on Sunday night, April 27, 2025.
The annual gathering of Cairn University's 13 varsity athletic teams and staff for the Highlander Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Awards (HESPYs) will take place for the eight consecutive year on Sunday night, April 27, 2025, with doors opening at 6 p.m. for student-athletes with a red-carpet entrance in the Stearns Lobby including hors d'oeuvres before the main event kicks off at 7 p.m.
The 2025 edition of the HESPYs is a formal event, continuing the tradition of the inaugural HESPYs, and will feature awards for the outstanding athletic performance and achievements by Highlander student-athletes over the course of the 2024-2025 season as well as highlighting the event with the awarding of Cairn's five traditional senior awards, one of the most time-honored traditions of Cairn Athletics. Receiving one of these five senior awards is the highest honor of a Highlander's career.
(David C. Unger Award for Service, Randy Ostien Award for Courage and Perseverance, Dan Richner Athletic Leadership Award, Clarence E. Mason Award for Athletic Excellence, Martha MacCullough Award for Athletic Recognition).
Student-athletes receive free admission and are welcome to bring guests.
