Aurora, NY - Philadelphia Biblical University's men's volleyball team has now won four games in a row for the first time in more than a year.
On March 12, 2011, the Crimson Eagles defeated Pfeiffer University 3-1 following wins over New Jersey City University, Stevenson University, and Hunter College for a 4-game winning streak. It was their last streak that length until this past weekend when PBU swept a tri-match between Wells College and D'Youville. The two victories come after solid performances against Eastern Mennonite University and Ramapo College, which sees the Crimson Eagles 12-3 in sets over their last 4 matches.
To open the weekend, PBU took on D'Youville College in what would be a very close contest throughout. But in the end, PBU showed the growing confidence and team chemistry that has been building over the last month to squeak out the 3-2 win.
Later in the afternoon, the Crimson Eagles faced Wells College for the second time this season. In a repeat of the earlier meeting, the Crimson Eagles swept the Express 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-17).
PBU faces Kean University this Tuesday at home. The first serve is set for 7pm.
