Harrisonburg, VA - The men's volleyball team traveled to Virginia this Saturday for the Eastern Mennonite University Tri-Match with Pfeiffer and EMU.

In their opening match, the Crimson Eagles played the Falcons of Pfeiffer University. The weekend didn't get off to exactly the start PBU was looking for. Perhaps stills feeling the long morning trip, the Crimson Eagles dropped the opening two sets, 25-13, 25-14. After finally getting their legs underneath them, the Crimson Eagles returned the favor taking the third set 15-25. With both teams finally ready to play, the 4th set went down to the wire.

The Crimson Eagles jumped out to a 14-9 lead and later led 17-11. But it was then that the Falcons went on a run to tie the match at 19-19. The two teams traded points until the score was 23-23. The Falcons then scored back-to-back kills to take the match 3-1.

PBU's Stephen Hirsch (Iselin, NJ / Home School) led all players with 12 kills while Ethan Mawhinney (Langhorne, PA / Neshaminy) had 10.

In their second match of the day, the Crimson Eagles faced off with host Eastern Mennonite University.

It was a very close match throughout, but in the end EMU came out on top 3-1. Once again, PBU dropped the opening two sets,closing the gap in the 3rd set before falling in the 4th at the wire.

With a strong showing this weekend, Stephen Hirsch had another double-digit kill performance finishing with 11. Noah Prickett (Yardley, PA / Pennsbury) finished with 10 kills, while Jon Wilson (Allentown, PA / Parkland) tallied 42 assists.

At the end of the weekend, PBU finds themselves at 2-10.
