Mawwah, NJ - Philadelphia Biblical University's Men's Volleyball team went into the season ranked #14 in the preseason AVCA top 15 poll.
In the opening weekend of the season, the Crimson Eagles traveled to Mahwah, NJ to take on #15 Vassar College and this weekend's host, Ramapo College in tri-match.
In their first match of the day, the Crimson Eagles dropped a 0-3 decision to #15 Vassar College (15-25, 16-25, and 23-25).
The Crimson Eagle men tried to bounce back against non-conference rivals Ramapo College, but came up on the short end of a 1-3 score line. The first game took extra points to settle, but the host edged out a 28-26 win. The Roadrunners extended their lead to 2-0, taking the second match 25-22. PBU won their first game of the season 25-17 to close the gap, but were unable to complete the comeback as Ramapo finished things off with a 25-16 in the final game.
The men will try and rebound next weekend when they travel up to Rochester, NY to take part in the #1 ranked Nazareth's Invitational Tournament.
