HOBOKEN, NJ
- Following a magnificent comeback against Massachusetts Institute of Technology early in the day, PBU's season came to a close Saturday evening as the group fell in the NECVA Semi-Finals to top-seeded Nazareth College, 3-2.

It took a drama-induced comeback for the volleyball team to escape against MIT in match one Saturday afternoon, but after going down 2-0, the Crimson Eagles mounted a roaring comeback, ripping off three straight games to shock the Engineers in the stunner.

After falling in the early hole, the Crimson Eagles slowly built up momentum during the ensuing three games. PBU secured rally three by a 26-24 margin, picking up steam in the fourth by triumphing 25-17.

Tied at 2-apiece, the Crimson Eagles bombed eight spikes during the final frame en route to a crushing 15-6 win in the fifth and finally rally.

Senior Justin Brubaker smoked 26 kills while collecting eight digs in the win while set-up man Drew Dillon added 41 assists.

Facing Nazareth in the NECVA semi-finals - a group PBU fell to a year ago in the title bout - the Golden Flyers were able topple the Crimson Eagles once again, this time by a 3-2 margin.

Nazareth, the top seed in the tournament and the third ranked squad in the nation, prevailed over PBU by scores of 25-19, 21-25, 25-22, 17-25, 15-9.

PBU's historic year came to a close as the Golden Flyers slammed 64 spikes throughout the five game affair while hitting at a .380 clip as a team. Nazareth also boasted a respectable 65 percent sideout percentage during the win while producing 14 block assists.

Brubaker provided 19 kills in the loss while Josh Tuttle added 11 digs and five spikes. Stephen Hirsch and Ethan Mawhinney both added 10 kills for PBU.

The Crimson Eagles close out the season with a final record of 23-11.
