Box Score

LANGHORNE, PA - It's not how you start, it's how you finish. The men's volleyball team can attest to the aforementioned statement following Saturday evening's 3-1 triumph over visiting Eastern Mennonite University.

After a shaky beginning that saw EMU roll out a 25-22 victory during the opening frame thanks to 16 Crimson Eagle errors, the host group swiftly corrected their ways, dousing the Royals' quick start by winning the following three sets 25-14, 25-22, 25-22.

PBU collected a 70 percent sideout percentage throughout the final three games en route to a 47-35 edge in total kills for the match. The Crimson Eagles were flawless in the receiving department, signaling the first time this season the group has managed a doughnut in the category.

The host group overcame 20 service errors by manufacturing a 6-0 edge in service aces for the contest while limiting EMU to a .109 hitting clip for the match. The impressive defensive effort helped make it 15 straight wins in Langhorne for the Crimson Eagles following Saturday's triumph over the Royals, a victory that also signals the group's second conference win of the season.

PBU collected 54 digs throughout the night - a season high - receiving double-digit stops from three different players.

Senior Justin Brubaker knocked down over half of PBU's spikes, pummeling the Royal's with 28 kills to go with six digs. Noah Prickett added 10 digs and six kills, and Drew Dillon posted 37 assists to go with 11 digs. Jeff Stauffer provided a game high 14 digs in the winning effort.

The Crimson Eagles move to 6-2 on the year following Saturday's outing and will look to make it two straight W's on Tuesday during a home tilt with New Jersey City at 7:00 pm.
