PBU Collects Seventh Straight W

HARRISONBURG, VA - The Crimson Eagles cruised in their seventh straight win of the year Saturday afternoon, blowing past host Eastern Mennonite University by scores of 25-22, 25-15, 25-19.

After going down 10-5 in the opening frame, the Crimson Eagles finished out the set on a 20-12 burst and never looked back during the squad's fourth consecutive victory over the royals.

PBU - who currently sits alone atop the Metro standings - was all over the place defensively, putting up a season high count of 26 block assists while limiting the host group to a .088 hitting clip throughout the afternoon.

The Crimson Eagles hit .310 as a group during a 25-15 win in the second frame and overcame a lackluster .088 percent mark in the final set by forcing the Royals into a dismal -.029 clip for the stanza.

The visitors were paced by Justin Brubaker's eighth 20-plus kill performance of the season while Noah Prickett added six spikes and 11 digs. Setter Drew Dillon put up 30 assists in PBU's 11th triumph of the year.

The Crimson Eagles will return to the floor on Tuesday during a home matchup with Lancaster Bible College at 7:00 pm.
